Shooter Demo Version
By JcCorp

-------------
Introduction:
-------------

Gee, I hope I stick with this project. It's really cool.

Shooter is like phoenix, except it is only you against one enemy. Right now, the
demo is short and easy with a kind of pointless scoring system. That will change
as the actual game has developed.

What can you expect from this demo? A demo. Understand how demo-ish this demo is.
I'm just showing what you can expect through movement and graphics. Which are very cool.

The gameplay is horrible right now. You have 1 stupid enemy to fight against. Again,
I plan to make smarter, more powerful enemies.

Story:
-------------

Let's just say I plan to add one.

-------------
Installation:
-------------

Objects needed to run Shooter:

*Your TI-83+ (SE), TI-84+ (SE)
*TI-Connect, a computer program
*USB or COM port

Step 1: Start TI-Connect and connect the link cable to your computer and calculator
Step 2: Open Device Explorer
Step 3: Click and drag each calculator file into the calculator's box that appears

To run Shooter, run prgmASHOOTER from the program menu.
You may see a message that says:

ERR: ARCHIVED
1: Quit
2: Goto

If you see this, first choose quit. Press 2nd, [+] to go to the memory menu. Press
2: Memory... to see a list of variables. Select All. Scroll downwards
until you see a prgm file or list file that Shooter uses. If there is a * right before it,
press enter to unarchive the program.

Shooter is/should be MirageOS compatable. If you have MirageOS and would prefer to run it
through that, feel free to do so. If you don't use MirageOS or don't know what it is,
don't bother, because it isn't needed to run Shooter.

[Note that this works for pretty much all BASIC games.]

Interface:
-------------

Title screen and Main Menu:
Just press enter and up/down to choose stuff and select it. Not hard.

Controls:

2nd=Shoot
Left=Move Left
Right=Makes calculator crash horribly. NEVER PRESS RIGHT!
Just kidding. It makes you move right.

Stuff:

You are the ship at the bottom. The enemy is at the top. Shoot the enemy. Easy.
Your shots move kinda slowly, and so do the enemy's. Fortunately for you, the AI
of the opponent wouldn't sell for 10 cents on eBay. You can trick it really easy.
Each ship can take 8 hits. This is shown by the lovely graphical life bars on the
sides. I think the one on the right is yours- I can't remember because I don't have
it out in front of me. Just believe me, ok?
After exploding your foe, press enter to see your score. There. You're done.
Wasn't that experience worthwhile?

-------------
Future Plans:
-------------

*More, smarter enemies with lasers and wave beams.
*A Shop, where you can buy more shields (ship upgrades), speed upgrades, and shot upgrades.
*Ship and shot upgrades will be graphical!
*Use of speed- you don't want to move twice as slow as the opponent, do you? (You will be
able to out-speed the enemy too!
*Story mode that hooks it all together, and two save files.
*2 player on 1 calc- go head to head with two save files!
*I plan on finishing this, too!
